Copperheads, Cottonmouths, and Coral Snakes
The lowcountry is home to a surprising number of snake species. The overwhelming majority of our snakes are completely harmless and nonvenomous, but we do have some potentially dangerous species. It's important to remember that even these species are critical to the ecology of our region. Join Tony as he takes a look at some of the venomous snakes that live in the lowcountry, along with guest Sean Poppy of the University of Georgia's Savannah River Ecology Lab.
